HOW BIG IS ICON OF THE SEAS?

Boasting 20 decks and a remarkable size of 250,800 tons, Icon of the Seas stands out as more than 6% larger than its predecessor, the Wonder of the Seas. Accommodating up to 7,600 passengers, this ship also surpasses the Wonder of the Seas in length, measuring an impressive 1,198 feet.

After successfully completing its first set of sea trials in June 2023, the Icon of the Seas set sail on January 27, 2024 and is now open for booking.

The ship’s design introduces the Icon Class, which sets it apart from previous vessels in the Royal Caribbean fleet. With a new layout, size, and appearance, the Icon of the Seas promises a unique cruising experience. Notably, the ship will feature eight distinct neighborhoods to facilitate easy navigation and cater to various interests.

WHAT ARE THE FEATURES?

One of the standout features is the AquaDome, an indoor space with an AquaTheater that offers breathtaking aerial and acrobatic performances. Central Park offers an oasis of greenery amidst the sea, complete with real plants, dining options, and live music. The ship’s impressive pool areas include Chill Island, which boasts a three-deck pool space, Swim & Tonic (the first swim-up bar at sea), the Cove Pool with in-water loungers, and Cloud 17, an adults-only retreat.

For thrill-seekers, Thrill Island introduces the largest water park at sea, Category 6, featuring thrilling slides and aquatic fun. The Crown’s Edge experience takes bravery to new heights, allowing guests to walk 154 feet above the ocean on a skywalk, ropes course, and thrill ride.

Icon of the Seas will also offer a plethora of dining options, including complimentary and specialty restaurants. From the 1400 Bar at the Royal Promenade to the unique dining experiences in Central Park, guests will have a wide range of culinary choices to indulge in.

Additionally, the ship features a casino, entertainment venues like the Dueling Pianos bar and Music Hall, and a range of cabins and suites designed to cater to families and suite guests.
